power-of-disability-book.jpg

I've been listening to this one as an audiobook through my local library account on Libby. Disability rights are something I think all information professionals should take seriously, and one great way to do so is learning about disabled people and their varying experiences / perspectives. I love just how many stories are highlighted in this book. However, some disabled critics have (rightfully) stated the title is not as directly helpful as it sounds. I also argue that the format it chose to follow makes me wish the stories more so came from the people themselves (when possible) so we could hear about their lives, struggles, and successes from their direct perspectives.
